The Doonesbury cartoon is very racist.

Dubya: Careful 'Brown Sugar'.

That reduces our new Secretary of State to chick from a race that can really dance. It's sexist and racist.

I don't know, maybe it is, I just can't get too worked up about that part of the cartoon. They are both portrayed as imbeciles up to that point, so the "brown sugar" part doesn't bother me that much.

Of course I think it does reveal the racism of Treudeau (however you spell that French name of his!) who has never portrayed a black character in Doonsbury (that was not a real life public figure) that I can recall.
