Snowe is in as much trouble as Akaka. Collins was a totally different issue. She's no Olympia Snowe. Snowe has that seat as long as she wants it. Another way to look at it is that Snowe is as vulnerable in her Kerry state as Blanche Lincoln was in her Bush state.
I dunno, Collins has proven to be pretty popular. Sure, she got a break running against Joe Brennan at first but then CRUSHED "rising star" Chellie Pingree.

Lincoln coulda been beat by Asa or Huckabee (had Huck not gotten into the school district controversy right beforehand). By contrast it would take George Mitchell to beat Snowe.
