I guess the author missed the fact that we now have to endure a recount here in Ohio thanks to Cobb

Amazing, the Secretary of State, who should be hiding his head in shame for the shenanigans in Ohio, spoutiing off on what a good job he did. Mr Blackwell is guilty of all the tactics for which Florida was falsely accused in 2000.

Isn't there something really wrong (vote suppressive) about a lack of machines at a precinct that resulted in 8 to 9 hour waits. Could it be that the reason was to cut down the votes at a likely Kerry precinct because many left in disgust?

And how about all those precincts that reported substantially more votes that registrants?

A recount is needed (though it cannot possibly uncover all the problems) and Mr Blackwell must recuse himself from that recount. Apparently only the Libertarians and Greens are interested enough to ask for and pay for that recount to protect the integrity of the system. As things stand I have no idea who won in several key states and I know that Bush has no mandate. In fact he should be ashamed to claim victory, considering how the election ran.

I am most impressed with Kenneth Blackwell. He deserves major acolades for keeping everything under control during the Dems hissy fits over election rules, etc., and they knew after it was over, that they couldn't pull a repeat of FLA 2000. I wish Mr. Blackwell the very best, and I hope he will run for governor of Ohio next. The current one, another Taft I think, was virtually invisible during this election.

In Cincinnati, blacks openly recruited, paid for and used every dirty trick in the book to beat Bush.
The whites quietly went and voted for Bush.

"A half-million more Ohioans voted than ever before with fewer errors than four years ago..."

Tells you everything you need to know about the two Clinton elections. I NEVER believed the vote count for him was true. And, he was NEVER my president.

Yes, and their reward for a near flawless election? They have to recount the entire state at an estimated cost of one and a half million dollars while the Stupid yahoo's who petitioned for it cough up a mere $130,000 of someone else's money. There is no justice in the world............
