Yes, but it was apparent from the bias he showed on interviews that he was a anti-war nut.

I am anti-war too, but that is because I fought in Vietnam. Everyone is anti-war who is not crazy. We must tolerate the brutality of war to preserve our country, when it is necessary. It is necessary now.

I am appalled at the weaklings our country produces, but this has been going on throughout its history. We had Tories during the Revolution. I think things are getting better. During Nam, there was no one to conteract the leftist propaganda. Now there is.

I don't think the marine will be found guilty of anything. However, if he is it is another case of the generals throwing the privates to the wolves for political expediency. This is what led to much of the aid and comfort to the enemy in Nam. The soldiers themselves were abused and did not trust some of their leaders.

Apparently Sites is an ideologue with an antiwar/anti U.S. agenda. What else needs to be understood. He was on a hunting expedition and found what he was looking for. No objectivity about it.

Like you I too am “anti-war”, in as much as I am not gung-ho in favor of war. I realize that war is a necessary evil. I believe that there are often very good reasons for war, and once we are involved in a war we can not just pack up and leave - and I would much rather we fought our wars outside the USA.

Like you I am anti-war but I don't have to shout it from the roof tops while our troops are fighting battles for their country.
There are times in combat when you don't leave wounded enemy alive.
I was in Korea and my brother in Nam.We never talked about this.
Sites and NBC may cost a soldier his life.
A crime against Iraqi's should be tried in house not by the media and public.
