GOSS URGES CIA EMPLOYEES TO SUPPORT BUSH POLICIES IN MEMO

Porter Goss, the new intelligence chief, has told Central Intelligence Agency employees that their job is to "support the administration and its policies in our work," a copy of the internal memorandum shows.

The NEW YORK TIMES is planning to lead Wednesday's paper with the memo, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE.

"As agency employees we do not identify with, support or champion opposition to the administration or its policies," Goss said in the memorandum, which was circulated late on Monday. He said in the document that he was seeking "to clarify beyond doubt the rules of the road."

Saw E.D. on Fox and Friends this morning wringing her hands over Goss and team not being "nice" enough to these CIA "folks" who have worked for the country "unsung".

E.D. needs to grab a clue about the treachery that has been going on. It is not right and, thank goodness, will no longer be tolerated.

I guess I'm just a cynic, but I distrust these individuals with "Indiana Jones" like CV's. Wheeler purports to know what's really going on within the CIA, but does he really? It's easy enough to claim that so and so was sacked over a screw up over such and such but, since the CIA never talks about these matters, how can anyone be sure that Wheeler isn't just a blow-hard making guesses?
I can't help but think that this is the way Bill Burkett began his career.
