Sounds like maybe the author has been steeped in studying muslim terrorists for so long that he's started identifying with them.

I read the review in the dead tree version of NRO. It's amazing that a CIA official would support tossing fellow democracies to the Islamic wolves in the hope that we can make nicey-nice with them.
Hopefully, Goss will be able to purge the CIA.
