That footage should have been given to the proper military authorities if the concern was truly that a war crime was committed

The footage was given to the military authorities and they let Sites release it to his employers.

If there is nothing wrong with what happened on the tape, then why worry that it has been released into general circulation?

You have no idea what happened to that footage.Plus If that was really the case they would not have allowed it released without pixillation,which it is now showing in the arab media, further endangering the Marines.
