I think that the Voice is unconsciously condemning civilization itself, rather than Christians. Since there is no way for a party organ to say that it is against civilization and maintain a pretense of sanity, it is the word "Christian" that they chose as a sort of coding for the RDDBs. I live in the deep South, and the Christians that I know are decent, hard working and hardly apt to rock any boats. In a word, they are no threat to the birkenstockers except that they have the power to vote. Christians, if anything, are too willing to partner themselves with modernity -or postmodernity if you prefer. I stopped going to church because my pastor never lost a chance to enable every thug, nut, loser, creep and degenerate across the globe. He was glib, of course, but I know how to "read" these people. I now spend my money and time supporting the Jewish community, and sometimes I think that they've gone nuts, too.
