Sanford's not a bad choice, if not for '08 then certainly for 2012. I like what he's done down here in SC, or at least tried to do; the chief executive is not strong here, the General Assembly holds all the power, and the executive branch is fractured into tons of independent little commissions and boards who answer to legislators, not the Governor.

When the legislature overrode 105 of his 106 line-item vetoes, he protested by entering the capital building with two squeeling piglets under his arms, demanding to know why there was enough money for pork-barrel spending but not enough to pay the remainder of the state's debt. That is just hilarious! Could you imagine this guy walking into the Capitol building doing this?? It would be great!

Certainly, SC has a wonderful business climate. I wish the success story of SC would get more PR - I geuss we, the Freepers, have to get the story out.
