Perhaps. Was she captured before or after Ken Bigley debased himself on multiple videos and then got beheaded anyway? If before, perhaps you're right. If after, she didn't have much of an excuse...Westerners kidnapped by these animals always end up dead once their usefulness is exhausted, after making a couple of "please, Mr. (President/Prime Minister/Grand Poohbah), withdraw the troops and leave these people to practice The Religion of Peace(tm)!"
Now I wonder, will this stiffen the spines of the people in the rest of the world to the bloody work that must be done to eradicate this scourge, or will they lapse into the same weepy, mawkish "oh it's so unfair" sentimentality that they did with the death of Ken Bigley?

What do you think? Most Europeans seem to have the mentality of a rich yet abused wife, who has come to the conclusion that if she lets herself be beaten regularly, she can still get the furs and drive the nice car. Now all that's left for her to do is hate the ones who fight back or decide it's better to drive a clunker and be free.
