Very interesting read. It takes in too much in one gulp, but I agree with most of what he has to say.

Too bad he takes on Rupert Murdoch rather than a thousand other moguls who are much worse, but even here he is, alas, on the money. Murdoch is about the best friend we have in the MSM, but he is not really a reliable friend, because he lacks foundational beliefs.

For instance, although the NY Post is generally conservative, it joined Murdoch in supporting Gore all through the 2000 election cycle, and only switched to Bush the day after the election. Why? Because clinton had used the regulartors to obstruct Murdoch's moves into satellite transmission, and he feared that Gore, if as was likely he was elected, would do the same.

You have to understand Mr. Coulombe (and myself) are not beholden to the American democratic/republican system. We are monarchists. I (I do not presume to speak for the author) don't see one whit of difference between the two in the long view.
