It's true that he wanted to stay until March....but why should he??? He wasn't even doing a decent job for Bush anymore...he needed to go....his Dept tried to get Bush defeated!!!

You're right, but he's more dangerous on the outside than any other National figure.

Back in the 1st Gulf War, Cal Thomas (I think) wrote a column about General Powell, and his a little too cushy relationship with the media. He's one of the only people who could do serious damage to the President. I'm not saying he's going to do that, but he could if he wanted to. And if he sees the Country heading in a direction he doesn't approve of, I would begin to prepare for many, many 'leaks.'
