It is a tough sell, deprograming entire cultures.
Even in more western areas such as the USA and Europe, Muslims stick to the old ways, unlike previous second-generation immigrants. Witness the awful problems now seen all over Europe from native-born Muslims. This is spiritual work which must be done by the Holy Spirit. The spiritual regeneration is beyond the reach of mere societal secularization and acculturation. IMHO, it will have to ultimately be done from the inside of these closed societies and clans by converted Muslims.
In most Muslim areas of the world there is complete hostility to Christian influence and there are discriminatory laws against such influences. That needs to be turned around and might be aided by political pressure from our side.

It will require both courses at the same time for our own survival. This is going to be a long struggle. It has already gone on for 1400 years. Those who think this is going to comfortably end in our lifetimes are only kidding themselves. History has shown the Muslim mindset is strong and resistant to outside influences.

I agree with almost all of it.
However, there is one element present now that has not been a factor for the last 1400 years. That, of course, is nuclear weapons. I am confident that Islamic forces will get them soon, whether from China or N. Korea.
I think that the advent of nuclear weapons and missiles (or trucks, for that matter) to deliver them combined with the demonstrated will to use them requires immediate action.
While I believe the Holy Spirit is the One that changes hearts...I do wonder if this battle between good and evil isn't come quickly to a head.
