I used to hold the view soldiers should respect the wounded etc. in battle. until I served in unrest areas myself.
That's unrealistic, especially when the fighting is as tough as Falludja. The marine almost got wacked, and a buddy shot. So he's gonna take a more thorough view.
The mistake is these imbedded's. The MSM is out to smear the troops, it's common knowledge. Why imbed them in the first place. So the libs can drool how great it is to be with the action, and the next moment make a fuss all over the papers. THe next insinuation will be that ALL marines have this approach, and that Bush personally ordered them to wack everybody.
Best is to keep these lib reporters far away from the action.
This is the AP, and an NBC reporter. What do you think?
Or do you want no difference between American soldiers and the jihadis who murdered the blonde woman?
Gee, I must have missed that part in the videotape. The part where the Marine cut a civilian's arms and legs off, disembowels the civilian, and disfigures the civilian's face. What's wrong with you? You sound just like the MSM and the hand wringers and thumb suckers.
Are you just getting your jollies this morning by trying to provoke a reaction?
Terrorists are not subject to the Geneva Conventions and the Laws of Land Warfare.
Kill 'em first. Let God sort 'em out.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
What on earth are you comparing the murder and mutilation of an innocent woman to shooting someone who who the Marine suspects may be feining or booby trapped during this war..
We lose military to surrendering jihadists who wave a white flag and shoot or blow themselves up..They don't have any "rules..and I assume you know war because you have experience?:

I got my jollies pushing abuse and saying I smelled a RAT.
I hate to say it but that was my thought too. The big mistake the Marine made was not shooting the cameraman while he was at it. Some of the reporters are as much the enemy as the terrorists.
You're quicker than me this morning. I'm still sipping coffee trying to get all the brain cells firing.
HE DID NOTHING WRONG!!!
So instead of focusing on the brave battle the soldiers have been waging, the media makes this the story. I doubt the public will care about one more dead terrorist.
Heheh-- I certainly don't.
My email to Mr. Sites:
SUBJECT: Ernie Pyle and You
Have you written/videotaped any stories about terrorists pretending to surrender and then shooting at Marines? ...or about wounded terrorists trying to kill Marines? ...or about Marines killed or wounded by booby trapped wounded or dead terrorists? Or are you just trying to make a name for youself? You are a perfect example of why more and more people just keep tuning out to the networks and tuning in to other sources of news. You give no context or perspective at all. You are a disgrace to the legacy of Ernie Pyle.
Amen! And get this parasite reporter off the front line NOW!
"The traditional fate of unlawful combatants has been nasty, brutish and short, in tribute to their chosen form of warfare. Francis Lieber, a Columbia University professor and founder of the modern law of armed conflict in America, bluntly advised the Union Army in 1863 that guerrillas, spies and saboteurs could be summarily shot."

I thought the whole point of the Fallujah operation was to KILL the "insurgents"....
when these terrorists booby trap homes, mosques and even themselves, do we want American soldiers to endanger themselves by NOT acting aggressively against the enemy.
These terrorists are NOT protected by the Geneva convention and are due NOTHING from our troops.
This is just another attempt by the anti-American press corps to tie the hands of our brave soldiers and then bemoan any losses they suffer.
The media should be shot along with the damn insurgents.
He said something along these lines. (And feel free to correct me or add to it if you saw it.)
"There's no way I could be an embedded reporter, if I had taken that tape it would have gone straight to the DoD not to Reuters to be used against the troops."
