John Ashcroft should immediately appoint a special prosecutor for any vote fraud case anywhere in the country. Vote fraud is not just a crime under state law, it is also a crime under federal law. The Federal Voting Rights Act of 1965 makes it possible to prosecute any person for entering into a "conspiracy to dilute the votes of legal voters." This old school manipulation by county clerks has to stop.

I agree. If a few (no matter which side they are on)can be made an example of this wouldn't be tried as often.
**I was a poll worker/watcher for the Republican Party and the "real" poll workers caught the very last voter of the night sneak a ballot outside. They busted him and it was a really big mess. I never heard what eventually happened to him, but when I had to leave he was still being held (over an hour) and his "vote" would be put in the ~provisional ballots~ cat. until everything else was worked out.
I have several stories about Nov. 2nd, but this one is the most interesting. It is long story that I'm sure no one cares about now, but I learned a lot, and wish I could find out what happened to him legally!
