I liked the animated version of The Grinch who Stole Christmas, but the Jim Carrey version totally stunk. The Cat in the Hat movie also smelled like a litterbox. Sometimes a great book does not turn into a great movie, even with tons of money and talent.
OMG I loved Jim Carrey as the Grinch! I can't tell you how many times we've watched it. Now the cat in the hat, I hated that story. Is prolly the only Dr.Suess that I can't stand, it was sooooo boring.
Yes indeed, those stunk. Too much movie, too little plot to go on, and too self conscious about appealing to adults and older kids.
