Joe, the reason I wrote that is because in posting #12 Race wrote, This case has already caused me to cash in a 401K retirement fund to pay my legal fees. I am unemployed and collecting. That's a lot of stress in anybody's book.

Don't be too sure. The Army sentenced me twice to assignments at Ft. Devens, just north of Race's location. Insane stuff happens in New England courts. Hollywood wouldn't touch it as it is mind-boggling unreal.

During my last assignment there, some 9-year old kid hosed down a gangbanger with a super-soaker water gun and took two 9mm rounds in the chest in return.

Crack down on gangbangers? No. Ban on waterguns? Yes.

Cut to the following scene. Masshole state trooper pulls over pickup truck with super-soaker proudly hanging in gun rack. Driver is wearing green beret and expression on face that says "dead meat". It made for a couple of interesting months.

I agree that he should win this obviously frivolous suit but the legal fees and time lost can come close to ruining many people financially. I know something like this would flatten me right now, even if I did "win"
