How many "Christian" holidays does Germany celebrate officially? Christmas? Easter?

I don't know about the Preisers up north but down here in Bavaria they have a saint's day or something similiar it seems just about every second week. In fact, so prevalent are the holidays but so secularized are the folks, that when I ask the locals what the significance of the day off is they often have no idea.

Good Friday and Easter Monday come to mind. There are quite a few. As an American you get caught sometimes, finding things not open, and come to find out, it is a holiday.
