The marine did his job. If he is "interrogated" or maligned in any way what does that say to the other troops? Are they going to be second guessed in every combat situation? IMHO, the marine will be returned to duty quickly with no further mention of this .

Rules of engagement have cost this country dearly in precious treasure... the lives of our sons and daughters. The terrorist scum and their supporters didn't sign on to the Geneva Convention. War is hell.

Get the media out of the combat areas.

Support our troops.

I am glad you brought up the consequences to his fellow Marines. Just waiting a split second to "think" about the ramifications will get you dead.

These are the same people that in Israel, think nothing about strapping suicide belts on their children to blow up buses.

It is just so obvious that so many people, the MSM, the dems are living in pre 9/11. WWII when the enemy wore uniforms and different shaped helmets so they could be "recognized" at a distance. And, even though they were at war, most of them didn't want to die any more than our soldiers did.

BTW, O'Reilly just came out big time on the side of the Marine. The woman he was talking about it too, made a comment about the Marine checking to make sure the guy wasn't an Iraqi citzen. Bill just shook his head and said, "there's no Iraqi CITIZEN in there".
