What if this guy had a grenade under him ready to kill Marines with it? He wasn't surrendering was he? He had that chance before. We all know what will happen now. Sigh. Its friggin combat. Its your life and your buddies lives on the line. How many times did this same thing happen in WWII? Get the friggin press out of there. There can be no good from it.
that NBC chump needs to get his ass kicked, and good. I volunteer.
"He wasn't surrendering was he? "
don't know; the article said they were left behind enemy wounded by the US forces that had to go on with the mission, and would be evac'd to the rear later . . .
did this squad KNOW that? or did they enter the bldg. not knowing what to expect?
If they knew they were left behind enemy prisoners/wounded, apparently the enemy would have already surrendered to the original US forces . . . Or the original US forces judged them to be not a threat, since they left them there . . .
not second guessing, as I do not know what the Marines knew about this place going in. That is for their chain of command to judge, not the world-wide TV viewing public -- which now, of course, considers themselves qualified to judge the matter . . .
