Yes, I really, really do hate that!!!! So far, I have had to make my husband switch allergy meds (France), limit musical choices, purchase certain brands of tires (France), No L'Oreal anything (France), and watch 10 year old movies! I had been on a Target Stores boycott for a while as well.

And last night, I received an article about P & G. They are going looney too! Bear in mind, I live just minutes south of Cincinnati, so P & G products are everywhere! I really don't want to wash my laundry without using Tide!!

Not sure if you have heard about them and their advertising agenda, but will be glad to post it if you haven't seen it.

I am just sooo releived to hear about Land's end, however. That was a real letdown. BTW, have you shopped their online overstocks? Great deals to be had there!

I agree about France. I was a devout customer of Cuisinart for decades. I've since switched to KitchenAid (love the mixer, couldn't cook without it). I remember hearing something about P&G items . . . could you fill me in?

We also boycott Tysons. My son gave up Chicken McNuggets completely, although we did start eating at McDonald's again after the widow Kroc departed this mortal plain.

Some here on FR think mixing politics with purchases is going a bit overboard. As a former dem, I can vouch for the saying, "Everything is political." I was taught, early on, not to get attached to anything that smacked of non-union Protestant Republicanism. So now I'm teaching my son that it's senseless to support liberals, since they hate us and everything we stand for.

Radical? Just a tad. But what's the point of teaching your kids to be wishy-washy when it comes to values. Besides, it makes for great conversation at Parent-Teacher conferences.
