"I just wanna find out what conservatives are like."

You seem very sincere, John. If you keep reading and posting here, you'll soon find out that conservatives generally have a good sense of humor and love to laugh. So when a thread like this is posted, people go for witty, quick one-liners designed to make people laugh.

Freepers aren't racist, and you'll find that out pretty quickly as well. If people post something out of line, there will soon at least one person to point that out to them and call in a moderator if it's bad enough.

American conservatives are generous with their thoughts and prayers towards their political "enemies"--when Bill Clinton had bypass surgery, nearly everyone posted wishes for his quick recovery. Same thing with Melissa Ethridge's breast cancer. Freepers might disagree with people's ideas but they don't wish them physical harm.

The original posts you complained of (one down, one billion to go) might *seem* racist. Perhaps it can better be termed "religionist."

Yes, post 9/11, many Freepers and conservatives have become suspicious of Islam. This is because the "religion of peace" keeps providing evidence that it is not peaceful, and yet gruesome beheadings and suicide bombings are met, generally, with silence from Muslim organizations. We keep hearing it's only the fringe that is violent, but the silence is defeaning.

PAIC, you've gived away our secret.

John ny, we also misunderestimate misspelling skills, if one has them.
