I completely agree. It's outdated and it's time for it to go. But I was merely making a statement that Republicans were the people to get this kind of legislation passed. Not liberalism.
Affirmative action today is very different than what it was years ago, which was to open up professions and opportunities previously closed to black people because of what existed in this country beforehand.
