"One of us is gonna be the husband, one of us is gonna be the wife..." Do you remember the prison video released after Richard Speck died? He was with a group of guys yukking it up. Speck opened his shirt to show the world one giant set of boobs. He was the wife apparently.
Scott Peterson is in for a rough one. He will end of like Dahmer--I do feel for his Mama though. I can only imagine what she must be going through right now. He is a monster, a cold blooded murderer, and does not deserve to see the light of day again. But he is her son and I am sure in her heart of hearts, she believes he is innocent.

However, if he gets death .. he will be in a special section of the prison and will not mix with the others. He will also have a private cell.
He better pray for the death penalty - it takes about 20 years to get through the CA appeals - that's what they were saying on FOX today.

Convincts... even killers, have their own sense of street ethics. Yeah, their "ethics" are "let's find someone who's done something worse, so we can pretend we aren't so bad."

The prison administrator gave a very good visual while choosing his words carefully. It was priceless.

Agreed. They have a responsibility to protect him.
As much as I personally hate the thought of him getting protection, I'll bet they will have to do it.

I think the boy's smirk is why they didn't allow the camera in the court room. I DO wish we could see his face at the moment the verdict was read.
Does anyone know if there can be cameras during the penalty phase?

He'll either be on death row or in protective custody. I don't think he'll be in any danger compared to a lot of other cons.Even on death row, he will be in protective custody. He will never be in danger from other inmates.

so many "OZ" quotes, so little bandwidth . . . I think old scottie's situation can be best put in this little bit of dialogue:
Vernon Schillinger: You like my tattoos?
Tobias Beecher: Yeah.
Vernon Schillinger: We're gonna have to get you one.
Tobias Beecher: [laughs] I don't think so.
Vernon Schillinger: Oh, yeah, I'm gonna brand you myself.
Tobias Beecher: Livestock gets branded.
Vernon Schillinger: Yeah, that's exactly what you are- my livestock. Because, Tobias. Now, your ass belongs to me.
