I'll pay the taxes to "educate the masses", but I will not let them have my children. There is more to homeschooling than just educating.

I can accomplish more in 4 hours of home educating than what a child is taught at a public school in an entire day, not even mentioning the homework routine.

Plus, they are not learning behaviors that are immoral, liberal, or unchristian. There's no way that makes me "screwed"!

Right on! Most people with children in the public schools are homeschooling through homework anyway. With homeschooling most children aren't subjected to idiotic idealogies and the social pathologies of their peers. Plus homeschoolers actually have time to have meaningful socialization that often includes adults!

My 13 year old son has health problems involving a lot of medical care and several times doctors and technicians, after conversing with him, have asked him if he is homeschooled. This is because he can hold a meaningful conversation and is comfortable and courteous around adults. These medical professionals have told us they can generally tell the homeschoolers after a couple of minutes of conversation with them.

You're right, homeschooling is far more than just educating.

My son will be 20 this week, but when I home schooled him in the 5th grade, he had an hour of Bible study everyday. I took the ABeka lessons..Verry, verry good system.
