WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush spent Friday evening at the home of Clay Johnson, a college friend and administration official who also has a hand in shaping Bush's second-term Cabinet.
The president spent about two hours at Johnson's house in a Washington suburb.
Johnson, deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget, and White House chief of staff Andy Card are among those who are intimately involved in discussions on second-term personnel.
Bush's longtime friend also worked with him while he was Texas governor and later served as head of the Bush-Cheney transition team into the Oval Office in 2001.
The Cabinet will have a few fresh faces next term. Resignations of Attorney General John Ashcroft and Commerce Secretary Don Evans were announced on Tuesday, and an administration official said Friday that Education Secretary Rod Paige also intends to leave. Bush has already nominated White House counsel Alberto Gonzales to replace Ashcroft.
BTW, this is me....as a glam clam.
You stay clam. Me, I'm just crabby. ; )
Don't tell me to stay clam. Nobody's going to mussel me around.
(Am I banned yet?)
And the media thinks this is newsworthy? This reminds me of a small town newspaper that would write articles about my aunt along the lines of "So and so attended a track meet last Tuesday", and "So and so attended lunch last Wednesday".
Believe me I want to.....but I'm not touching
your clam.
Frankly, Scallop, I don't give a clam. (LOL)
