Unfortunately you are right...And those of us who work for a paycheck will be paid in rice...When we undercut the Chinese, we will be living like the Chinese...Good thinking...
Yeah, I never go shopping.
And your solution to the problem?
What exports? We don't make anything here any more, and as prices of imports rise we will have no choice but to do either do without or pay the higher price, same reason we don't make anything here anymore.
I beg to differ, sir. The US is the largest industrial exporter in the world. Bar none. Check the US Dept of Commerce statistics, for example.
The problem has been, we are way, way the largest importer too.
The sad fact is that the industrial base of the USA is being ripped up and sent overseas, if and then the dollars takes a real fall all those cheap products at Wall-mart won't be so cheap anymore.
What a falling dollar really means is a falling life style for average Americans.
What the heck are you talking about?
Bush had to put a patch on the economy to try and straighten things out and stablize them because of the failed policy of the Clinton Admin. What failed policy - nafta, free trade, and doctoring the system via Greenspan. What has Bush done - expanded on Clinton's screw ups and told us it's good for us.
And ya'll think he's a genious for patching the mess with a tax cut. I agree with the cut. But this is all designed to screw us in the long run and you are patting Bush for what you Cursed Clinton for.
Our jobs are leaving. Our way of life is at risk; but, there's a pub in the whitehouse to oversea the destruction of our future, so let's party... This is why I didn't vote for Bush or for Kerry either one. They're the same person bought and paid for by the corporate elites. Don't stop taking your pills THX...
The same clown who claims Islamic Extremists DO NOT pose a threat to our nation and who was close to tears when he was praising Arafat.
He used to come up here to ride a dogsled in my backyard. He hasn't been the same since his illness. He was really something in his day, though.
It is a shame that he didn't simply leave quietly, he would have been remembered in a far different way.
He would come up here and go on the radio. Last time he sounded beat, really tired.
