At the same time, the dollars will eventually drop far enough that it will be cheap for us to export our products, and this will correct the trade deficit. Just my 2 cents.

Unfortunately you are right...And those of us who work for a paycheck will be paid in rice...When we undercut the Chinese, we will be living like the Chinese...Good thinking...

In real terms the dow is way down, by real terms I mean factoring in the fall of dollar. A falling dollar is how the elites steal the wealth of the nation. To pay their debts to foreigners. And since we don't make anything here any more, as the dollar falls the price of just about eveything is going to go up. Now factor in the rise in interest rates to needed to pay for the never ending GOP budget deficent and you have a real mess.

"Imports decrease, exports increase, American manufacturing improves."

What exports? We don't make anything here any more, and as prices of imports rise we will have no choice but to do either do without or pay the higher price, same reason we don't make anything here anymore.

I beg to differ, sir. The US is the largest industrial exporter in the world. Bar none. Check the US Dept of Commerce statistics, for example.

The problem has been, we are way, way the largest importer too.

Yea right, we are exporting all the machines/factories we used to use here. In terms of finished goods we don't make or export much. Now we are a big exporters of food, and raw materials like timber as such. More like a agricultural colony then an industrial power.

The sad fact is that the industrial base of the USA is being ripped up and sent overseas, if and then the dollars takes a real fall all those cheap products at Wall-mart won't be so cheap anymore.

What a falling dollar really means is a falling life style for average Americans.

What the heck are you talking about?

Bush had to put a patch on the economy to try and straighten things out and stablize them because of the failed policy of the Clinton Admin. What failed policy - nafta, free trade, and doctoring the system via Greenspan. What has Bush done - expanded on Clinton's screw ups and told us it's good for us.
And ya'll think he's a genious for patching the mess with a tax cut. I agree with the cut. But this is all designed to screw us in the long run and you are patting Bush for what you Cursed Clinton for.

Our jobs are leaving. Our way of life is at risk; but, there's a pub in the whitehouse to oversea the destruction of our future, so let's party... This is why I didn't vote for Bush or for Kerry either one. They're the same person bought and paid for by the corporate elites. Don't stop taking your pills THX...

"Who is this moron?"

The same clown who claims Islamic Extremists DO NOT pose a threat to our nation and who was close to tears when he was praising Arafat.

He used to come up here to ride a dogsled in my backyard. He hasn't been the same since his illness. He was really something in his day, though.

It is a shame that he didn't simply leave quietly, he would have been remembered in a far different way.

He would come up here and go on the radio. Last time he sounded beat, really tired.
