Thank you so much for your kind words. Welcome to FR.
I haven't read Zell's book yet, but he sure has ticked off the democrats. I watch Morris on Fox quite a bit and he knows what he is talking about, thats for certain. After all, he helped Clinton get elected. It's too bad democrats call them both traitors because they speak the truth..as they say, the truth hurts.
Just out of curiosity, I would like to know everyone's opinion about which democrats (in office) that you feel are decent public servants.
1998! I shared the whole thing on FR.I actully broke into the hospital to let the people on fr know.
Wow, I haven't seen the news until now and got to see that Vice President Cheney just had a cold before reading that he'd been rushed to the hospital. Thank G-d he's okay. Praying that he stays strong and healthy.
post 525 .. have you been "misbehavin' missy?
Back after a meager attempt to do a few mundane things.. I am prolly not the best person to answer because I truly have not been following the various states/governors/reps & senators.. in respect especially to fulfilling the public trust, working for people rather than their own agenda etc...but I am very impressed with Obama from Illinois... He seems smart, communicates well & the people love him. I see him as a presidential contender in years ahead. Dorky name however.. Of course I would like to see him find his way into the Republican/conservative fold
Welcome to Free Republic from this foreigner!
A moderate Democrat would probably just be a major centre-right supporter in many non-US Western countries in these days - except Australia perhaps. For this reason we would probably in the same spectrum of beliefs had you been in this country (New Zealand).
Washington Times - Vice President Dick Cheney went to the hospital yesterday after experiencing shortness of breath. The visit, aides said, was a precaution, given his history of heart problems. No trouble with Cheney's heart Cheney leaves hospital |
Hope he is going to be all right now.
My immense apologies. I have nothing but utmost respect for the veep. I responded to the other thread and shot my mouth off too soon. So glad his ailments were of no serious concern.
Obama seems like a great candidate...but, lets see what he does in the Senate first. To soon to speculate, although his speech at the convention was quite refreshing.
Happy to see our V.P only had a chest cold. Of course, with his heart condition the media will speculate and some democrats will seize on it as some sort of conspiracy. I am impressed with Evan Bayh of Indiana myself. He is a moderate/conservative dem that should not be overlooked. If the dems were serious, they would quit with the Hillary/Dean nonsense. Catering to the left even further proves they are out of touch and will continue to lose. I am a Reagan Democrat that voted for Bush 41 in 88 and 92. I voted for Mccain in the Michigan primary in 2000. Too bad the people that have the power in the party fail to realize they are leaving people such as myself behind.
Thank you.
Make sure you read "REWRITING HISTORY" and "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS" by Morris! He DOES know what he is talking about and is not afraid to expose it.
You might also want to search for the threads on Arkancide here on FreeRepublic....It's down right scarey.
Thanks for the ping, Lijahsbubbe. Glad that he erred on the side of caution and that his doctors are staying on top of his health. He's a good man.
