Just a quick thought for comment....
What would you think about President Bush nominating John Ascroft for the U.S. SUPREME COURT....
This would be a great question for Arlen Specter, to see if he would SUPPORT this nomination...
John Ascroft has already been in front of the Judiciary Committee firing squad.. and survived....
I think this would be a GREAT test to see if Arlen Specter has what it takes to be CHAIRMAN !!
Pass it on for comment
sounds like a pointless waste of time, nice try though.
Too old.
Thnis should be posted under humor.
I'd love to see Ashcroft nominated, especially after his blistering attack on activist judges and the war on terror.
Not sure he'd make it though....but with the majority that we have...might be a good time to test Frist's nuclear option.
Not opposed to John Ashcroft for Supremem Court, although Ted Olsen would be a better choice. Am opposed to Arlen Specter for any committee, for that regard to the Republican Party. He
should sit in the corner for the rest of his term or go over to the Democrats where he belongs.
It would be a great "LITMUS" test for the Arlen Specter CAMPAIGN
No. Ashcroft ceded his constitutional responsibilities by permitting a dead man (Carnahan) to win the Senate seat in '00. As Ashcroft was the only person on the ballot qualified, he should have insisted on being seated. If he will not live up to his constitutional obligations in the legislative branch, he has no business being a part of the Supremes.
What a great idea!
How old is Ashcroft?
I am very SERIOUS..
I think he has health issues
One word... NUTS!
The libs will turn him into some David Duke
Man you have a better chance of growing boobs on your back that Ashcroft being a Supreme.
I think that situation worked out in the NATIONS best intrest.. we never had a BETTER AG
Did you say John Ashcroft on the Supremes?
It would make the libs apoplectic. It would push Ted Kennedy over the edge! There would be blue state hysteria and mass migrations to al-Kanada and France!
Don't post your suggestion on DU or anything...
WHY?
I would have liked him to the SC BUT, sad to say, he is not young and chiefly he is in poor health. He remains a great man, a true example for all of us.
