Nutjobs they are indeed. I wish the old Communist Romania was still in operation, so we could send them there to live in the kind of society they'd like. Contraception was illegal, abortion was illegal, and women who didn't have babies were forced to undergo medical examinations to prove they hadn't been doing anything to avoid having babies. The state controlled all jobs and housing, and handed them out to loyal Communist baby-makers only. All so the Great Communist State could have more workers and soldiers to fulfill ITS objectives. The fact that the people wanted to starve the Great Communist State, and wanted to spare children from the horrific life it provided, was irrelevant; the people existed only to serve the state, and what they wanted didn't matter a whit.
Dear GovernmentShrinker,
Why the hyberbole, bordering on falsehood and libel?
We oppose the legalized slaughter of over one million innocents per year. You think we're nutjobs. Frankly, from my perspective, the term "nutjob" rightly applies to folks who see the legalized slaughter of over one million innocents per year, and do not think that this is the most important, the overriding social issue.
Folks talk about tax cuts and Social Security reform, and I'm all for that. But if we get all those wonderful things, but don't protect the unborn in law, I'm reminded of the old joke, "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"
Our law permits paid assassins to unjustly kill over one million innocent human beings per year. There is no greater atrocity under which we currently suffer. There is no greater crime which we currently permit. There is no greater carnage, no greater destruction, no greater evil for us to fight in the present day.
Sorry if you are unable to see that clearly.

The politicization of issues regarding morality in this country is often very confusing.
People of faith know what is right and what is wrong, but they resist, or should resist enforcing moral choices on everyone else unless it is or becomes a matter that affects everyone equally, such as murder, rape, incest and other social ills.
Abortion straddles these lines and it makes it so difficult for States, who are responsible for making and enforcing much of our law to deal with.
That is why Roe was brought to the "nine" years ago for a decision that would put an end to the distress.
Agree with it or not, the protections in it do not have to be taken advantage of, and most thoughtful Christians that I know see it this way.
In other words, they view the rights as something necessary for some, but never intend to take advantage of them, not do they ever want to. But on the other hand, they are not willing to allow anyone to decide for them or give up those rights to anyone.
This is the way I see it now, and the way I see the future, as far as I can see it.
Could that change?......Yes. But I do not see it anytime soon.
