I agree, but I see it differently. Since September 2001 less than 6,000 Americans lost their lives due to Islamic militantism while over 4,000,000 Americans lost their lives to abortionists during the same period. The most threatening weapon that the the Islamicists have against us isn't a WMD but rather our own self-inflicted low birth rate. Most of northern Europe has a negative native birthrate (only Muslim Albania is positive). France is almost 10% Muslim today and is projected to have a Muslim majority within the century, with the other European nations not far behind. The Islamicists don't need to destroy us, we are destroying ourselves. If we truly fear the clear threat that Islam poses, we need to think longer term.

Dead on.

If the "Christian" West doesn't eliminate atrocity it doesn't deserver to survive.

Amen.

Bears repeating:

"If the "Christian" West doesn't eliminate atrocity it doesn't deserver to survive."

And there is a misconception on this thread that needs to be addressed. Some are saying that for us to stay home and not vote Republican on this one issue makes us "disloyal" or "false" conservatives. But I would put it in more starker terms, much like you have. We put abortion as an issue above America continuing as a nation. So I guess we're not good Americans either.

Leonard Ravenhill had it right in the 1960's when he wrote that the "prophet in his day is accused of being unpatriotic" when he points out the sins of the nation. This is where many on FR or within the evangelical Republican club don't get it. They confuse loyalty to a movement or a nation or even mom and apple pie to loyalty to God. There is no comparison. America is not a "Christian" nation. She is a nation that has lost it's way and it is not unpatriotic to point out her flaws (and even if it were, no matter, we're called to followers of Christ not flag-worshippers).
