Please. I was a registered Libertarian for 8 years. I LEFT the party because I saw it getting taken over by paranoids like yourself.

I use Esq. because we are the only country in the world that doesn't recognize those with a doctorate in law as "DOCTORS." If you have a doctorate in Art, you're a Doctor. If you have a doctorate in Home Economics, you're a doctor. But a Doctor of laws is either "esquire" or "attorney at law". Since I don't REALLY practice law anymore, using "attorney at law" is a bit misleading. But I wasn't to get some (ECONOMIC) use out of the $100,000 I spent getting the degree, I use "ESQUIRE." Yes... I have more education, which equals more respect and more money. Thus I let people I'm in business with KNOW I have a law degree, and that's where ESQ. comes in. I know there are all sorts of loony ass ideas floating around the web, but they are ridiculous. You are being used. And not by the secret world of Esq., but by people willing to pander to your paranoia to sell everything from books, to bomb shelters, to gold bullion at overly inflated prices.

And of course use it because it gets me in to the cool secret meetings we all go to, where we plot to take over the world... But I shouldn't have told you about those...
