I expect jugglers and cotton candy vendors to stroll by outside the courthouse. What a carnival.
"Peanuts...fresh roasted peanuts...gitcher peeeeeeeeanuts here!"
Jurors in the Scott Peterson case have reached a verdict, Judge Alfred Delucchi announced in court this morning.
The jurors had only been deliberating since Wednesday after having had to start over twice after two jurors were removed in two days. The panel, which had been sequestered during the deliberation period, had Thursday off for Veterans Day.
This morning, the judge put out a call for reporters covering the case to appear in his court at 11:20 a.m. When the media were assembled, the judge simply said, "There is a verdict and it will be read at 1 o'clock."
There's even restricted air space above this crowd! MSNBC reporters saying Peterson admittedly a bad guy but no history of domestic violence.
