The lawyer/medical science guy got kicked off which means they are not looking at the evidence but going on feelings.
My feeling is he is guilty, but may not be enough evidence to convict.

Also, America has watched too much scum on TV and movies. Hollywood and MTV has totally poluted this society. The jury after watching enough tv will believe everyone is scum.
