The headline of the NY Post had a picture of Suha and said "The Arafat Lady Sings" and there was a subheader that was unflattering that I can't recall right now.
Keith displayed this and said it was not fitting to treat a recently widowed woman this way.
Needless to say, I thought his sense of who deserved what kind of courtesy a wee bit out of whack.
Guilty? Not a surprise. This isn't like the Ninja Dave Westerfield or the railroading of a transient Stephenie Crowe cases.
I'm not sure how Peterson could've planned to kill Laci (1st degree) but not Conner (2nd degree), however. My personal view is that this is not a death penalty case for the simple fact that it is devoid of any direct evidence. Life in prison with a 6'9" 300 lbs "Daddy" is plenty fitting.
I thought I heard that she hadn't even seen him in 4 years. That is one faithful, loyal wife, huh?
I bet she really loves him now---she will be getting 22 million a friggin year. Money that should be going to help clean up the towns that the Palestinians have to live in.
Gosh, I just don't know what is going to happen over there but you know Suha isn't going to stay around and find out.

Yes! Mumia I think. I also remember seeing "Free Winona" t-shirts around L.A. I think it's a thing now.
Ninja Dave got in and carried her off without a nanometer of physical evidence left behind. Ridiculous! I believe there was perhaps a preponderance of the evidence that he did it but not sufficient to vote for death.
Last I heard they were still married.
That's what started all the hubub over abortions (again) -- the Laci Law that was passed last year the libs went nuts -- you know Clinton deemed if it doesn't breathe it's not human...
Well, we can be alone together in this thinking! Two 'not dumb blondes'(although mine isn't natural, so I don't know if it counts!). I warned my husband that since he has a habit of buying and pouring cement around the house, can't remember exactly where he went weeks ago, and I've mentioned to people that his Cobra is the other love in his life, that if I disappear someday, he better wait months to sell everything and buy a Viper. Otherwise, he could be convicted on this 'evidence' alone!
"Important Note: There was FAR MORE evidence of guilt in the O.J. Simpson case, than there was in the Scott Peterson case.
Scott Peterson is white + jury mostly white = GUILTY.
O.J. Simpson is black + jury mostly black = INNOCENT.
Collectively and as a whole, who exactly ARE the racists in our society today?
Think about it."

I DID think about what you said. I sure don't know the answer. I remember though when OJ's sentence was read. The company I worked for then was mostly white, but not entirely. We all gathered in the lunch room to watch. 150 or so total. The only one happy with the verdict was a very young black man. He jumped off his chair and punched his fist. The rest of the room just looked at him.
Did you follow the case? If so you'd know there is a LOT of circumstantial evidence... From telling two different stories about where he was that day... from phone calls on his cell phone that didn't tie to where he claimed he was ... to cement anchors missing .... fishing gear brand new and never opened ... saying he was fishing for Sturgeon (you don't try to catch sturgeon in that small of boat) ... to the house reeking of bleach and not allowing police to enter the house after he finally got around to calling them -- told them he needed a warrant first... calling his girl friend from Laci's vigil and laughing and saying he was in Paris... telling the girlfriend he didn't want kids of his own ... selling her car right away and trying to sell the house .. packing away the baby furniture... looking up the place where Laci was found on the internet and specifically checking tides in the area... witnesses saw the boat that day behind his truck with something wrapped in a large tarp... he claimed Laci was walking the dog -- her doctor said she was too swollen to take walks and he had her basically on rest -- her dog always barked very loudly when anyone was around the property and was very protective -- unlikely he would have stood by in a docile manner while someone grabbed her -- they had tracking devices in his car and he would go and watch from a hillside everything they went out looking for her body (he didn't know they knew he did so)... when he was arrested he had multiple cell phones and a lot of money on him, had grown a goatee and blonded his hair --- there is much more... it's not CSI -- most cases are circumstantial.
S'matter? The sheep were too PC or too intimidated by what other sheep might think if they expressed their own emotions?
And... Susan McDougals attorney.
Trying to find Chandra Levy ?
Yep, too PC I guess. Groans is all. And shock.
Yeh - having the "wrong kinds of emotions" can get you in deep trouble these days...
PS - add in the "Minnesota Nice" factor.
