136. You are absolutely right. I guess sometimes people need a wakeup call as to how their intentions may not match the message that is received. Again, I am sorry. The last thing I would want is to further perpetuate racism in our country.I have tears in my eyes! They even admit to GETTING the point of the thread (to ridicule AP, NOT to ridicule black people), and they're apologizing to black people anyway! As though photos of black people, by themselves, are somehow offensive! AY AY AY!!! (My apologies to Cubans.)

Vice-President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) wipes his eyes during a victory address by President Bush (news - web sites) at the Ronald Reagan (news - web sites) Building in Washington, DC on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004. At left is Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge. At rear center is U.S. Trade Representative Robert Zoelick talking with Secretary of the Treasury John Snow. At right is Secretary of Health and Human Services (news - web sites) Tommy Thompson. (AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais)
How do you get a half-obscured Treasury Sec. right and mis-identify Don Rumsfeld as the Vice-President of the United States?

Great stuff. One DU poster is not amused:
Either stop making jokes at the expense of African Americans or have this posted at Free Republic!
