Nice, round, symbolic number...especially since 60M looks like 10M more than the 50M+ Kerry got. Same psychology that leads merchants to price things at $2.99.

Lawrence O'Donnell's gonna have another meltdown over this one. ;)

You need to make some adjustments to your map.
There are more Evangelicals, practicing Catholics, practicing Jews and other practicing conservative Protestants in the areas within and outside of LA and SF than anywhere else in America. In fact the GOP controls more counties in CA than the 'Rats and there are more registered Republicans in CA than anywhere else in America.

Someone has done an analysis of each of the states current vote totals. Bush is now approaching 61 million and will very likely surpass it by this weekend..

I agree totally on California. It may appear Blue, but California is almost entirely RED when you look at the vote county by county. Here in Northern CA, Republicans are the predominate voters.

Don't tell Olbermann. MSNBC already has him under a suicide watch.

Yes!!! I think the red/blue State map should be replaced with the red/blue county map in all future discussion.

Pockets of blue in red states must be cordoned off and pockets of red in blue states must be encouraged.

LOL.

But too true.

Have been thinking . . . Given the predicted attacks of China on the West with and through Mexico . . . and Russia with Cuba, Venezuela, ?France? [some European country not mentioned specifically], etc. on the East Coast and through the Gulf . . . as well as Russia taking Alaska and attacking through Canada . . . [Google Dimitri Duduman as the most persistent predictor of such from his dreams and visions] . . .

Anyway--it has begun to occur to me that God's greatest, most intense discipline, judgment on our land may well be rather matched to those States who most rejected His values.

Supposedly when the attacks come, the war will saw back and forth tediously for 3 or so years without the enemies really conquering the central midwest--the Bible belt. Interesting prospect, anyway.

There are 56,936,504 stupid people in one country? That is indeed scary.

Bush won 44% of the votes in California, just slightly less than the number of Republican votes he got in Texas.

Those are No. 1 and No. 2 for Republican votes, by state in the USA.

Also, Maryland may be blue, but only because of Montgomery County, Howard County, Prince George County, Baltimore County, and Charles County, which are the most heavily populated. Carol and Frederick counties and west, plus the eastern shore all voted red.

I understand that is most votes any American President ever received. Anyone confirm that?

Meanwhile,
