I wouldn't watch their pi$$-ant station anyway, even if they ran the movie with no commercials (they have been on my block list for some time).
Besides, this is a movie that must be viewed on DVD.

I think so too. On Rush today it was brought out that the
f-bomb is used 47 times, that's a lot for un-edited prime
time viewing.

The Omaha beach landings sequence at the start of the film (the best bit IMHO) were filmed about six miles from my home.
I had the opportunity to go on set during filming, and interview Speilberg and Tom Hanks. Have to say it was a great experience.
