All sources I've read say that Arafat was given nearly everything he wanted, but rejected it. I highly doubt he expected to be given such a deal, and he most likely was ill-prepared when it happened.

I know what you said. But you continue to naiviely assume that Arafat's cause was Palestinian statehood (which is indeed a just cause), not the destruction of Israel and a perpetual state of war.

fake, maybe so, but he was still
associated with it---and by itself
it is a cause which has merit...so says President Bush and me, Bushbacker..so the UN can honor that cause without honoring Arafat
