Mandela: Arafat was 'outstanding freedom fighter'
By Haaretz Service and Agencies
World leaders marked the death Thursday of Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat with a mixture of praise for his dedication to the Palestinian cause and regret for his failure to realize the dream of statehood for his people.

Arafat could have had a state if he had wanted one.
Israel is now entering a very dangerous period, not only from terrorism, but from the international community of leftists.
Arafat was and remains a POS. Mandela is right there with him.
From the spiritual father of necklacing to the same of terrorism. How appropriate.
In the sense that he fought AGAINST freedom, yes, I agree.
The problem was the State he wanted was already occupied.
funny how they both have winners for a wife.mandela's (winnie)killed people
Well that confirms what we've known all along about Mannie.
They are also in danger from the Jews who live in Israel and actually believe they can negotiate with Muslims for a peaceful solution. - Tom
I couldn't believe what Carter had to say about Arafat. From Drudge:

I don't have any problem believing Carter saying that. pat buchanan was on TV saying pretty much the same thing and looking close to tears. At least Carter never pretended to be conservative.
More anti-Semitism (disguised as leftism, which is looking more like a close cousin).
From one terrorist to another...
"Mandela: Arafat was 'outstanding freedom fighter'"
Yes, ranking right up there with Pol Pot, the Viet Cong and Mau Mau's.
So is Spielberg still condemning Arafat and supporting Fidel? That makes a lot of sense! He'd better not watch the funeral service on TV or he'll see a lot of his leftist "pro-Israel" heroes attending!
Arafat was a terrorist, so was Mandela. At least Arafat wasn't a Communist like Mandela, just a self-serving tin-pot despot.
At least Carter never pretended to be conservative...
Good point. Don't these folks know, that just because they claim to represent a point of view, that we don't automatifcally believe everything they have to say?
