There are, however, a large number of conservative Republicans hacked off at Specter, and who are demanding that he be held to account. I'm one of them.
Bottom line: he's shown through his intemperate remarks that he has no business sitting as chair of the Judiciary Committee.
Methinks that he's going down on this one.

Don't get me wrong, I am no fan of Spectres', but I will be very surprised if the Senate will buck their own procedures over this. I believe they will let Spectre twist on the rope for a while but won't deny him the chairmanship.
That aside, those who continue their scorched earth threats should never be taken seriously.
