Sunspot activity hits 1,000-year high. Satellites have also measured increased radiant energy from the sun since the late 1970s, IIRC.

Another interesting study in in a recent Scientific American, which soundly denounced Lomborg but ran a different article on the oceans ability to serve as a heat sink for any atmospheric warming. He postulated that it would take from 50 to 100 years to really confirm the results of global warming and start to validate some of the models.
