Well, I just can't stop being happy. I don't mean elated--it's hard to get elated by big history, as opposed to by the birth of a baby, say, or a child's being elected president of the debating club--but I continue to feel relief (the exit poll hives have gone down) and satisfaction (my countrymen, such good sense they have). So let's just let the mood continue and have fun.

Talk about relieved
I felt like I was carrying a lead weight in my gut until last Wednesday

Polls weren't very encouraging . I felt Bush should have been at 55% or Better ( And he should have been. Fact remains 48% of the voters were willing to put a lying traitorous slime bag like Kerry as CIC of our military. That is a VERY DEPRESSING THOUGHT )

While I agree that a larger margin for the president would have been better, I look at matters this way: the liberal/leftists/socialists threw everything they had at W, from pseudo-documentaries to Ratherist national guard service lies to MSM negative coverage of the war in Iraq, finally ending with the "missing munitions" story that was not (a few tons "missing" - not really, as it turned out - out of really true, either...and the president STILL won reelection, and the Republicans gained in the Senate and House and a governorship as well!

If those who tend to believe MSM half-truths had not been poisoned so relentlessly by the MSM, Michael Moore, Hollywood, and so forth, the margin would have been even greater.

The conclusion is really a happy one. Even with the most powerful propaganda effort, falsehood and enslaving government and elitism and cowardice lost the day; the majority does weigh reports and think for itself. The majority did avail itself of multiple news sources. It chose well.

The nation is safe for four more years.
