BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. troops found a hostage imprisoned in Fallujah, the military said Thursday. The man, who appeared not to be a Westerner, was chained and malnourished.
Marines spokeman Maj. Francis Piccoli said the man was chained and shackled at his wrists and ankles when troops discovered him Wednesday afternoon in a building in a northeastern district of the city.
Piccoli said he did not know the man's nationality but that he was not an American or Westerner.
The man had been beaten by his captors and was very malnourished, according to medical assessments.
A variety of weapons was discovered at the site as well, he said
In a week, after our warm food has fed him and our medical care has restored his strength, he'll be on British TV calling us occupiers!

BBC: Iraqi hostages found in Falluja
US-led troops involved in fighting against insurgents in the Iraqi city of Falluja have found four imprisoned men believed to be Iraqi hostages.
Three of the men were contractors working for the US military, a US marines spokesman said, and the fourth said he was a taxi-driver. All of the men had been beaten and starved and were wearing handcuffs.
US-led forces say they have rid more than 70% of the the city of insurgents in the battle, which began on Tuesday.
Photos and a wonderful rescue.

I think he handcuffed himself and this is his way of surrendering with out getting killed by either side.
But I have a suspicious mind.
God Bless Our Troops!
News going on and on about Arafat (the terrorist leader), but not covering this in depth like they should. Shows you how morally bankrupt the MSM is and will be for years to come.
I hate to rain on the parade, but we should be very careful with this chained guy. It would not be hard for a senior terrorist leader to have himself so positioned so that the Americans would think he's a victim, his bona fides need to be checked out thoroughly. Keep him in a nice military hospital until we are certain we know who he is and have with certainty eliminated the possiblity he is a terrorist.
So many of them do forget.
bttt
POst that in breaking news!!!!
"taxi driver "
Do taxi drivers wear camouflage clothing in Iraq?
Looks like a blanket to me.
AM they are now saying 4 hostages have been found can you tweak the headline...
He should be a pretty good cheerleader for the US forces from here on out. Hopefully... you just never know.
You're right, I should have looked more closely.
You're right, I should have looked more closely.
I am suspicious as well. If he was kidnapped a week ago, why is his beard still neatly cut along his neck?
Bruises can also come from flying mortar and cinder block - as US MArines destroy the building you are hiding in.
If he is legit, God bless him. If not, remove his ta-ta's and send him home.
They do when its a US Military blanket to warm you up... Gvie it up, this man is a victim of terrorists.
I know our troops have had some resistance in this operation but it seems to me that it's not as much as anticipated.
It looks like the terrorists are cowards and ran away for the most part.
Come on you terrorist cowards, fight like men. Don't surrender so we have to feed your lily liver, chicken little, sniveling, slimy, butts, take care of your booboo's with bandaids, and give you lawyers.
