yet another reason to loath Chirac. Typical French appeaser. Loves the murderer, hates the victims. Burn in Hell Arafat.

"For nearly four decades, [Arafat] expressed and symbolized in his person the national aspirations of the Palestinian people," spokesman Fred Eckhard said in a statement on Annan's behalf. Is that suppose to be a compliment?

"U.S. President George W. Bush's offered his condolences to the Palestinian people on the death of Arafat."
Oh well, a national leader has to be diplomatic. At least he didn't praise Arafat like Chirac did.

FOX news just reported Kofi's comments about Arafat's death.
I think the man is on drugs or something, for the praise he gave to this terrorist!!

Since Araft was the symbol, maybe we should rethink our support of their "aspirations".

"U.S. President George W. Bush's offered his condolences to the Palestinian people on the death of Arafat."
Exactly the right tone for us to take. We are trying to act as an honest broker in negotiations for a settlement. Saying something like "Burn in hell Arafat" or "Arafat was a great leader" would under cut the US's position of neutrality in future negotiations.

I am driving it out of my head right now by visualing Arafat being put in his cell in Hell with Hilter, Stalin, Mao and Ho Chi Min.

The State Department said Wednesday that Israel must implement Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's disengagement plan despite the death of Arafat.Leave it to the State Department to say something stupid. With or without Arafart the palis had no intention of keeping any promises. Why is Israel responsible for making "peace" with an unwilling partner?

Some nice BS artistry I'd say.

Would it be appropriate for somebody to prepare a bomb as a going away gift for Arafats funeral ?

Next to a Frenchman, a pygmy shrew is a man of courage.
