Jimmy Carter has requested permission to attend Arafat's funeral, per Andrea Mitchell. Carter is said to be eager to go. No word yet from the White House.
Low level State Dept. delegation will attend.
IMO, let Carter go, let Clintoon go. That way there is an appearance there, but eveyrone knows it's not by anyone really important, and they can't complain. I hope no one in the current Admin. goes. That man deserves no respect.
So long as he is barred from ever entering the U.S. again and any other terrorist lover who opts to go along (McDermott and Bonior come to mind first.
Is there no limit to jimmies absurdities? Does jimmy believe that anyone actually gives a sh*t what he thought of arafag? When al-zaqueery, the "beheader" of fallujah finally gets his, jimmy will probably want to lead a delegation to his funeral as well. Jimmy carter did not have a firm grip on reality even as POTUS.
He should stop off in Iran. They made him look like an idiot during his term, and he has made himself look like one since.

No one should be sent from the U.S. to the funeral of this vile monster. If the fool insists on attending, he should go as a private citizen and that should be made clear.
