The only "unsupervised visits" John Hinkley should get are to a bare electrical wire.

In a perfect world, Hinckley would have been executed the day he was pronounced sane.

I give my stamp of approval...preferably the new Ronald Reagan stamp.

If they let this guy out and about they are as crazy as he ever was. Maybe less violent, but just as nuts. And that goes for his sister too.

Who the hell is this guy that he should get off early or easy? If he's so sane I suggest he starts to do some serious reading and improve himself and those around him.

Maybe they should just move him to the prison for sane people. His parents must have no character that they allow this nonsense to continue.

Considering Hinckley's parents live down the road from me, I just as soon wish they leave him in the hospital.

It's very simple:  require the doctor who signs Hinckley's release form to also sign a form accepting co-responsibility for any criminal act that Hinckley might commit.

Result? Hinckley remains institutionalized, as is proper.

I'm not the least bit concerned that he commit a crime while he is on one of these visitations. What bothers me is that he left two men injured, one very seriously for life. Why should he be released for visits? If he's no longer mentally ill then his butt belongs in prison.

I offer to give Hinckley what he tried to do to our President. Sounds like a much better plan.
