All Bush wants is a judge who can keep his personal beliefs entirely separate from the Constitution, and judge strictly what the Constitution saids!
What Specter wants is a judge who will conform to his beliefs.

What do you think of what Spectre (spelling intentional) said in yesterday's Wall Street Journal?
There might be some benefit to having a thoroughly-chastened known liberal "approving" President Bush's nominees - and he has said he would NOT block any of them.
Charles Grassley, now, is much too much of a known liberal to give HIM that post.
