As you have pointed out, Bush has never called for amnesty for illegal aliens, and he never will. We have millions and millions of illegals in this country. They need to be identified and registered. This is what Bush wants to do. In the meantime American business needs to stop employing illegal aliens.

What is he calling for?

As I understand it, a Mexican wanting to work in the US can presently wait 10 years for a non-existant green card or cross over illegally. Under a work program a Mexican wanting to wotk in the U.S. Would apply for and receive a work visa so that he could be investigated, tracked, and taxed while he is here and sent home when his work is done. Any Mexican found to be working here after such a "work visa" is implemented will be deported as an illegal.
