Judge removes juror from Scott Peterson's murder trial
Scott Peterson could face the death penalty if convicted of killing his wife and unborn son
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Jurors who have been weighing capital murder charges against Scott Peterson for five days were ordered Tuesday afternoon to start from scratch after a panelist was removed from the jury and replaced with an alternate.
Judge Alfred Delucchi did not give a specific reason for the removal of the woman, Juror 7, but indicated in his instructions to the remaining jurors that the dismissed juror may have violated court rules by trying to investigate the case on her own.
"You must decide all questions of fact in this case from the evidence received in this trial and not from any other source," the judge added after reading jurors the standard, state-approved jury instructions given to deliberating jurors when one of their number is dismissed.
The extra sentence is part of the an official instruction entitled "Juror Forbidden To Make Any Independent Investigation." While that instruction is delivered to all juries before they begin deliberating, it is not normally read again when a panelist is dismissed.

If you have some time look at this pictoral of the "flooding of the boat."
Bear it takes some time...lots of pics. I know your a busy girl! ;o)
Dev and Vel, you gals have been MIA, so I'll tell you to start at my post 169 here to get an explanation to my participation in this event.
on WS?... I did and put the link on the new thread... ;o)
Jackie! That was a beautiful sight to behold.
Congratulations for being a part of something that, I imagine, would have been a great comfort to Sharon and the rest of Laci's family.
Oh, that's right. Feldman and his sidekick should've been disbarred for what they did because it was unethical and disallowed by law.
People who try and cause trouble like this are very small. And what good purpose does it serve? NONE!

I don't know what you are referring to. The only ones I've bumped heads with have been on Terri Schiavo thread and not even lately. And yes, I've maintained that Scott is guilty and the prosecution made a good case. One or two have disagreed. I see no problem with that.
Excuse me, but you DID say this on this thread?
Everyone had a right to their opinion. It was an inflammatory statement, considering those days are behind us. If you had to say anything at all, you should have said "westerfield" crowd, but you specifically noted the "westerfield innocent" crowd lurking on this thread. So WHAT?! You mean we aren't worthy enough to comment on this trial because we debated the other side? LOL.
That trial is over, the guy was pronounced guilty. We accepted it. It's OVER!

You sure are overeacting. I don't see your point. I just made a comment. I could just as well have said those who still think OJ is innocent -- and there are some who claim to believe that he is innocent. And I certainly don't have a grudge against anyone here, although I do consider Feldman lowlife.
I don't really care what you think of Feldman. Most people who drink the koolaid O'Reilly gives them, will believe anything he says or writes. He's the one who ran with this particular "dog". Funny, he could't get ONE lawyer from California to agree with him...LOL.
sw
You sure are loosing it. I could care less if you like Feldman and Westerfield. Just don't expect me to agree with it. Get a hold of yourself and clam down.
And I'm perfectly calm.

The trial itself is guily, So was Westerfield's and so was OJ's. Guilty of abuse of process, of a trial process so perverted from the goal of finding the truth, that at best it only gets it right by sheer luck.
Westerfield was railroaded in, OJ railroaded out. The media's power to do so was amazing in both cases. Here in the Peterson case Gregaros's familiarity with that media and with how its audience -- the public -- willingly particiaptes, and his techinical skills in procedure and presentaion have countered that undue influence of media inflamation. It is the CA trial process itself that is the culpable party as to injustice, to the obvious appearances of a mockery of a trial.
What happened to all the Peterson threads now that the verdicts are in? Am I in the wrong place?
